Class 1 Driver - Heavy Plant

Streamline Recruitment is hiring Class 1 HGV Drivers for a well-established lifting solutions company based in Dagenham. This role involves transporting abnormal loads, plant, and access hire equipment across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transporting abnormal loads including plant machinery and access hire equipment.
2. Carrying out pre-use vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
3. Securing and loading/unloading cargo safely in line with regulations.
4. Planning and following delivery routes efficiently while adhering to legal driving hours.
5. Liaising with transport teams and customers to ensure smooth deliveries.
6. Completing paperwork and logs accurately, including delivery notes and compliance documents.
7. Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
8. Handling overnight stays and weekend work as required.
9. Operating specialized lifting equipment when necessary (if applicable).

Requirements:

1. Minimum 2 years of Class 1 HGV driving experience.
2. Experience with abnormal loads, plant, or access hire equipment is essential.
3. Flexibility with working hours, nights out, and weekends.
4. Strong awareness of health and safety regulations.

Package:

1. Take-home salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on overtime).
2. Based in Dagenham, working various hours/shifts.
3. Flexibility required for nights out and weekend work.
