Job title: Claims Broker / Technician

Salary: £45,000

Location: Hybrid - 3 days in London office

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Lawes are working alongside a leading insurance firm who are seeking a skilled Claims Broker/Technician to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company and advance your career in claims handling.

You will provide exceptional claims support to non-marine clients, with a strong emphasis on the Latin American market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Process claims and prepare them for presentation to Underwriters
2. Broker claims to the market, ensuring the best possible outcomes
3. Maintain accurate financial records and produce claims reports
4. Handle claims within designated authority limits and oversee payments
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, TPAs, insurers, and internal teams
6. Ensure full compliance with company systems, policies, and procedures

DAY TO DAY

1. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end claims processing, broking claims to the market, managing financial records, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures
2. You will also play a key role in maintaining strong client and insurer relationships, ensuring smooth claim resolution

SKILLS

1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
2. Highly organised with the ability to work independently
3. Experience following and maintaining structured systems and procedures
4. Ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure

EXPERIENCE

1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar claims role
2. Knowledge of Latin American claims is an advantage
3. Familiarity with London Market systems (ECF, IMR) is beneficial
4. Commitment to ongoing professional development in insurance
