A dynamic and expanding company, GE Services Limited is a Utility Contractor in the UK working for SSE on their LV and 11kV network in the Wessex area.

We are looking for two experienced Site Supervisors for the works in the Hampshire area.

Job Purpose

To oversee all site activities, to ensure our works meet the Operational and HSEQ requirements of GE Services; our Client; the New Roads and Street Works Act and the Local Authority/Highway Authorities. Support the Project Managers in ensuring works are completed on time and to the standards and quality set by the business and our clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the quality of the works.
2. Engage with Local and Highway Authorities regarding our programme of works. Monitor street works permits, negotiate early starts, and ensure the timely resolution of defects.
3. Ensure that GE Services’ OHSEQ requirements are communicated and adhered to at all times on site.
4. Ensure frontline operational works are compliant with the organisation Management System.
5. Facilitate the induction training of all new personnel to the contract.
6. Identify areas where competency and training may need to be refreshed or conducted.
7. Complete day-to-day tasks in accordance with Risk Assessment & Method Statement and the effectiveness of the identified controls.
8. Support communication between top management and the organisation.
9. Conduct Tool Box Talks, Briefings, and other forms of communication.
10. Understand the organisation's commitment to maintaining 9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018 standards.
11. Support the organisation's Supply Chain & Subcontractors and ensure they are fully integrated into the GE Services Ltd Management System.
12. Provide Incident Investigation support and comply with client organisation requirements.
13. Understand the NRSWA 1991 Highways Activities and ensure compliance with the Safety at Street Works and Road Works - A Code of Practice (Red Book).
14. Ensure GE Services Ltd complies with the CDM Regulations 2015.
15. Perform general administrative duties, e.g., filing, copying, record keeping, etc.

Essential Skills:

1. LV and HV experience is essential. Ideally SSE accredited.
2. Good awareness of planning network diversions and reinforcement schemes.
3. Previous experience in supervising civil works, particularly within the electricity industry.
4. Understanding of noticing conditions & LA Highways working practices.
5. Experience in managing teams and effectively managing performance.
6. Full NRSWA Supervisor accreditation.
7. Able to provide accurate and timely reports to the Company as requested.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to build relationships with construction teams, management, and clients.
10. Good PC skills, including MS Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
11. Excellent diligence with a focus on accuracy.
12. Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
13. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
14. Flexible and enthusiastic attitude.

Salary: £52,000 per annum dependent on experience. NO AGENCIES PLEASE
