This well-established civils contractor offers ongoing work, a variety of projects, local opportunities, and stability. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing a prestigious 36-month project, contributing to the growth and success of a respected business.

The Role

As a Freelance Civil Site Manager, you will take on a leadership role overseeing the daily operations of the site, with the following responsibilities:

1. Supervising engineers and subcontractors to ensure the smooth operation of the site
2. Ensuring all work meets specified client requirements and is delivered to a high standard
3. Reporting regularly on site progress to the Project Manager
4. Promoting a culture of health and safety awareness across the site
5. Ensuring Method Statements and Risk Assessments are completed for all aspects of the work

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

1. A degree (or equivalent) in a construction-related discipline
2. Experience working with roads, utilities, S278s, and deep drainage; experience in water projects is advantageous but not essential
3. A strong knowledge of construction methods, health and safety practices, and legal regulations
4. Previous experience working within the civil engineering industry
5. A valid UK driving licence
6. A CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS qualifications
