Civil Structural Engineer

Our client, a prominent player in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking a SC Cleared Civil Structural Engineer for a contract position based in Sellafield. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in civil structural engineering, particularly within the highly specialised nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Designing and analysing structural components for nuclear facilities
2. Ensuring compliance with nuclear safety standards and regulations
3. Conducting structural assessments and providing technical recommendations
4. Supervising and managing construction activities to ensure structural integrity
5. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives
6. Preparing detailed technical reports and documentation
7. Performing risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
8. Maintaining project timelines and meeting contractual requirements

Job Requirements:

1. SC Clearance (mandatory)
2. Experience in civil structural engineering, ideally within the nuclear sector
3. Strong understanding of nuclear safety standards and compliance regulations
4. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
6. Capability to produce high-quality technical reports and documentation
7. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
8. Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
