Civil Litigation Lawyer

Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer – Hybrid working – 6 months+ - up to £55 per hour Umbrella

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer to join a lovely and supportive team in a Police Constabulary.

This assignment will be for an initial period of 6 months with a likely extension thereafter.

The ideal candidate would work full time on a hybrid working basis. They will also have prior experience working within a Local Authority/Police Force and will have a broad working understanding of Public Liability Claims and Judicial Reviews.

Duties may include:

• Navigating a diverse and fascinating caseload, including claims of false imprisonment, malicious prosecution, and infringement of human rights.
• Representing clients in court, tribunals, and hearings, advocating for justice and compliance.
• Managing claims from cradle to grave, ensuring timely advice, compliance with CPR deadlines, and high-quality representation.
• Supporting the Principal Lawyer in leading a talented team of lawyers and support staff.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a team, including a Lawyer, trainee Legal Advisor, and Paralegal.
• Drafting complex legal documents and collaborating with external counsel when necessary.
• Supporting strategic objectives by overseeing key projects, managing risk, and allocating work effectively.

An attractive hourly rate of up to £55 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position depending on experience.
