Civil Engineering Technician
Location: Liverpool (L13)
Salary: £30k - £40k + benefits

About the Role
A dual-office Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy based in L13, Liverpool, is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technician with expertise in PDS software to join their engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial development projects, supporting the design and delivery of infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare detailed civil engineering technician drawings and designs using PDS software.
  2. Assist in the design of highways, drainage, and earthworks for residential and commercial developments.
  3. Support senior engineers in the preparation of feasibility studies, technical reports, and specifications.
  4. Collaborate with other team members, architects, and external consultants.
  5. Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and client requirements.
  6. Conduct site visits and surveys as required.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in PDS software for highway and infrastructure design.
  2. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, particularly in land development.
  3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDS and MicroDrainage (desirable).
  4. Understanding of UK design standards, including DMRB, SuDS, and Building Regulations.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
