Job Description: As the Civil Engineering Team Leader in our Engineering Services business, you will play a critical role in leading our civil engineering projects and manage a dedicated team of highly skilled civil and structural engineers. You will champion excellence within the discipline, offering guidance and support to foster team development while aligning with InoRail's long-term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a team of skilled Civil Engineers, providing guidance and development support.
  2. Act as Contractor Responsible Engineer (CRE) across a range of engineering projects across all stages of design.
  3. Lead and coordinate civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
  4. Foster a collaborative and positive team culture.
  5. Support junior engineers with professional development.
  6. Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  7. Support the development of proposals.
  8. Understand design procedures, change control, checking and review requirements, ensuring compliance with CDM design risk assessments, HSE and Quality procedures.
  9. Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and ensure client satisfaction.
  10. Build relationships with our clients and highlight opportunities relevant to Civil Engineering.
  11. Keep abreast of industry trends and innovations to drive continuous improvement.
  12. Be part of the Senior Leadership team, contributing to the long-term development of the InoRail business.
Required Experience:
  1. Demonstratable experience in a senior Civil Engineering role, acting as CRE or PE.
  2. Ideally Chartered (CEng/IEng) with the Institution of Civil Engineers or similar.
  3. Experience in team leadership, or an aspiration to develop in line management (it is not necessary to have previous experience of line management, but a desire to support development of staff).
  4. Proven track record in Civil Engineering and Project Management.
  5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  7. Have the ability to work successfully with clients.
  8. Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
  9. Demonstrate the ability to identify and input to activities in support of the wider business objectives that may draw upon skills in addition to those outlined above.
