Role: Civil Engineer / Structural Engineer - Hinkley 'C' Nuclear Power Station project

Location: Hinkley 'C' site near Bridgwater, Somerset (3 days/week in the office, with the rest worked from home)

Salary: £40000 - £70000 + excellent benefits

Start: April 2025 onwards

An exciting opportunity exists for Civil Engineers specialising in the design and analysis of large concrete and/or structures, as well as knowledge of relevant Eurocodes, to work in support of EDF's Hinkley 'C' nuclear power station construction project.

The position will be based at the Hinkley 'C' site 3 days/week, with the remainder worked from home.

While previous nuclear industry experience would be useful, this is not essential - prior experience in the design and analysis of other large structures (in particular regulated industry experience such as oil and gas, power station, petrochemical, chemical) would be acceptable.

Main Activities
  1. Producing technical specific documents such as handover reports or hypothesis notes.
  2. Responsibility for raising and following up on technical open points.
  3. Supporting the civil building lead for the resolution of transverse/complex technical open points and coordinating with the L3 civil designer and other stakeholders for producing the design.
  4. Supporting the contract engineering lead for the preparation of progress reports for the Client Project Manager and alerts of any technical issues.
