RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our UK agency is searching for a new collaborator as a Civil Engineer M/F to the Civil Design Team on Hinkley Point C construction site. The position will be based in Bristol, in a permanent contract.

• Produce reactive and quality technical answers to requests raised by the contractor to secure the fastest construction progress on site.
• Check and review technical answers and deliverables previously issued by the back office teams and updated by the site team;
• Manage the priorities and drive the activities of the engineering contractor.
• Interact with EPR-E back office regarding civil design interfaces;
• Interact within the site organisation with the client in order to support the overall project;
• Interact within the JDO with the other disciplines in order to support the overall project;
• Support the team management regarding the overall needs of the civil team (technical assessment, inputs clarification, coordination, etc).
• Ensure the continuity and consistency of the design modified by the JDO team.

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Essential

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in civil engineering.
• Knowledge of Structural Civil Works, Civil Design and Construction.
• Experience in detailed design or conceptual design in an office or on a civil construction site.
• A good knowledge of the Eurocodes.

Desirable:

• Experience of the HPC project.
• Knowledge of and/or experience of civil engineering design contracts in the nuclear sector or other heavily regulated industries (such as oil & gas, rail,…).
• Project management qualification and/or experience.
