Civil Engineer – Office-Based (Hybrid After Probation) – Oxford

Hours: 08:30 to 17:00

Salary: Dependant on experience

Are you a Civil Engineer looking for a dynamic role within a motivated and collaborative team? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading consultancy that delivers innovative engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects.

The Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer seeking career progression and exposure to a variety of engineering challenges. You’ll start with an office-based role, transitioning to a hybrid setup (3 days in-office) after a 3-month probation period. You will work closely with senior management and gain hands-on experience in key aspects of civil engineering design and consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site appraisals, feasibility assessments & pre-planning reports (Flood Risk Assessments, Foul Drainage & Utility Assessments)
2. Drainage & earthworks modelling
3. Highways design (S38 / 184 / 278)
4. Preparation of detailed design information for tender & construction
5. Contract management & client representation

What We’re Looking For:

1. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a civil engineering consultancy
2. BSc or BEng qualified (ideally with industry experience)
3. Strong written & verbal communication skills
4. Commercial awareness & ability to collaborate within a team
