Civil Engineer

We are pleased to be working with a well-established UK-wide civil structural consultancy to recruit a Civil Engineer to join a growing Manchester office, offering the opportunity to contribute to the design of a range of medium and large-scale projects and engage with a diverse portfolio of clients.

As a Civil Design Engineer, you will join a small and growing positive team within an established North West business, with the opportunity to help build the Manchester office and get involved in all aspects of projects, both technical and project management, and the opportunity to advance and progress your career. The role offers hybrid working, 2 or 3 days a week from home.

Salary: £40k to £50k depending on level of experience

About you and the role:

• As a Civil Design Engineer, you will have 3 years or more experience in civil design.
• Good working knowledge of software such as Civil 3D, Microdrainage, and Causeway Flow.
• An understanding of drainage design, SUDS, highways, and cut and fill analysis is desirable.
• Opportunity to get involved in both technical and project management.
• Ideally, an understanding of some of Section 38, 278 (Highways Act) and/or Section 104, 106, and 185 (Water Industry Act) agreements.
• Ideally, experience in drainage (foul and surface) and roadway design.
