An ambitious structural engineering consultancy is currently recruiting for a Civil CAD Technician to join their expanding team. You will gain the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects covering a wide range of sectors.

There will be the opportunity to progress further within this role.

Hours of work: 8:30am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.

This Civil CAD Technician job will suit:

1. 2 years + experience within a similar infrastructure CAD position.
2. Good communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas across all levels within the team.
3. Strong working knowledge of Civil Engineering and drainage design.
4. An understanding of XP Solutions (formerly Micro Drainage), WinDes, and Autodesk Civils 3-D.

The Civil CAD Technician job will involve:

1. Create, modify, and update 2D and 3D CAD drawings using XP Solutions and Autodesk Civils 3-D.
2. Develop site layouts, road alignments, drainage systems, and earthworks designs.
3. Interpret technical specifications, engineering sketches, and survey data to create detailed drawings.
4. Assist engineers in preparing construction and planning documents.
5. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company design guidelines.
