Position: Citizenship Teacher
Key Stages: KS3 - KS5
Location: Sutton
Start Date: April 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Citizenship Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Sutton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or a committed ECT to make a real impact on students' understanding of democracy, human rights, and active citizenship.

The Role:

• Teach Citizenship across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach KS5
• Deliver engaging lessons on topics such as law, government, democracy, human rights, and social justice
• Encourage debate, critical thinking, and active participation in society
• Plan and assess effectively to ensure excellent student progress
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, student-led initiatives, and events

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Citizenship, PSHE, or related subjects at secondary school level
• A strong understanding of the national curriculum and exam board requirements
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A passion for developing students’ awareness of social and political issues
