Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced CICA & Civil Abuse Claims Solicitor to join my clients team on an Employed or Consultancy basis in their Portsmouth offices.

This is an exciting time to join my client, they are currently going through a stage of growth and are already impressively recognised throughout the UK. This opportunity will allow you to expand your legal experience and take your skill set to the next level.

This role involves managing a caseload of Civil & CICA abuse claims. My client is seeking a versatile solicitor who can be supportive to clients, preferably with an ability to advise on and process different types of abuse claims.

The role does include work in CICA & Civil claims and experience or willingness to undertake Abuse Redress Scheme claim work.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert legal advice on a range of complex abuse cases.
  2. Manage a diverse caseload with limited supervision, collaborating on larger files when necessary.
  3. Work effectively with clients, third parties and colleagues to ensure successful outcomes.
  4. Supervise, mentor and train junior team members, supporting their career development.
  5. Contribute to business development activities, building relationships with clients, referrers and stakeholders.
  6. Ensure compliance with court deadlines, internal business requirements, and quality standards.
  7. Play a role in enhancing team culture, values and strategic objectives.
