An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Social Worker for a part-time, hybrid role. This position involves managing risks and making key decisions to support vulnerable children and families. This role is part time and hybrid working and suitable candidates will need evidence of 3 years in a LA post qualification.
Support the Manager to provide an intensive, high quality access team as a front door for services for families across the continuum of need. The post holder will manage risk and make key decisions about the threshold of need for children, young people and vulnerable adults. Support the team manager, social workers, early support officers, i-ART officers and staff from a range of different disciplines.
Operate as a social work practitioner as part of the team undertaking works in relation to vulnerable children and their families and vulnerable adults. Establish clear referral pathways to ensure children, families and vulnerable adults are supported appropriately. As such, the post holder will be expected to undertake assessments to determine threshold for appropriate level of need.
Provide support in decision making to officers in the team in dealing with complex cases. This can include child protection, management of Section 47 enquiries, complex cases including vulnerable adults. Provide advice/ support/ consultation to other agencies and members of the public. Ensure all practice meets required standards with regard to safeguarding and care planning practice standards and regulations.
