Job description

Brackenberry is proud to partner with Liverpool Children's Services, offering a fantastic opportunity for experienced social workers (3+ years post-qualified) to join their Permanence Teams. This is a pivotal role focused on Children in Care and Children Looked After, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work directly with Children in Care and Looked After Children, building trusting, meaningful relationships.
  2. Apply a methodical and organised approach to care and placement planning.
  3. Deliver long-term, outcome-focused interventions, helping to reduce risk and support permanency.
  4. Secure stable placements tailored to each child's unique needs.
  5. Collaborate with multi-agency professionals to create and implement comprehensive care plans.
  6. Maintain clear, concise, and timely case recording in line with statutory requirements.

What We're Looking For

  1. 3+ years of post-qualified experience in children's social care
  2. Strong background in Children in Care / Looked After Children services
  3. Proven ability to engage directly with children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard
  4. Highly organised, with excellent planning and risk management skills
  5. Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures
  6. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
