Would you like to join a small, exciting and dynamic team within Enfield’s Virtual School based within Enfield’s Children and Family Service?
You will be supporting with the extended duties of the Virtual School to work with Social Workers, schools, and any other associated practitioners to promote the education of children with a social worker, previously looked after children and children in Kinship care. You will be providing high quality and comprehensive administrative support 3 days a week (working Tuesday, Wednesday and the third day can be flexible) to support and improve the pastoral and academic outcomes of children with a social worker. You will set up, maintain and review processes and systems to ensure effective day to day operation of the service in accordance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements in addition to collecting, co-ordinating, analysing and interpreting information to meet all local, national and statutory information requirements and data returns for the service. You will be reporting to the Assistant Head for Vulnerable Children who reports to the Head Teacher of the Virtual School.
As the ideal candidate you will have experience of working in education, schools, children's services, and or CAMHs (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service) and an understanding of how educational outcomes for children are measured (attendance, suspensions, attainment). You will have an eye for detail and excellent administrative and IT skills (particularly Microsoft Excel) which will assist you with preparing and analysing data for reporting and working with systems such as Welfare Call and Study Bugs. You will be a confident communicator and have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment which will assist you with working with a variety of different organisations including other Local Authorities to support Enfield’s vulnerable children. Your excellent organisational and interpersonal skills will assist you with coordinating the Virtual School's extensive training programme and with working with digital services to ensure that the Virtual School's website is accurate and maintained. Overall, you will be committed to improving the educational outcomes of the children with a social worker.
The post is an initial 12 month contract with the possibility of renewal.
Please note the position is not a qualified Social Work role and the salary quoted is for full time per annum, therefore, with this being a part time role, the pay will be pro rated.
