We are currently recruiting for support workers for a service based in Crawley which offers short breaks or long term stay for children and young people with learning disabilities.
Your role will be to ensure the residents are able to live as independent a life as possible by assisting with their everyday lives when needed.
You will need to be flexible with shifts.
Shift patterns are:
07:00 - 15:00
10:00 - 18:00
14:00 - 20:00
21:30 - 07:30
Job Requirements:
Experience working with learning disabilities
DBS on update service (Desirable)
Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young Peoples Workforce or Similar (Essential)
Good communication and teamwork skills
Good at problem-solving and ability to make quick decisions
Key Responsibilities:
Encourage new skill development
Attending appointments
Enabling independence by assisting with day-to-day tasks
Measure and record patients' vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
