Job description

MedGen is looking for compassionate and dedicated Children’s Support Workers to provide essential care and support for children with diverse needs. This role involves working closely with children in care, those with disabilities, or those requiring emotional and behavioural support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide emotional, social, and practical support to children in care.

Assist with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities.

Work closely with families, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure children’s well-being.

Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

Help children develop essential life skills and independence.

Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding policies.

Requirements:

Previous experience in CAMHS, social care, or support work (preferred).

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.

Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child welfare practices.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent) are desirable.
