Job description

Children and Family Worker role waiting to be filled!

Venn Group have been approached by a Charity and would like to introduce the following position available:

Position: Children and Family Worker

Location: Wigan

Rate: £26,000

Length: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours p/week, Monday - Friday with occasional evening and weekend shifts

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work with families to improve parenting and parent/child relationships
  • Provide activities and support for children and young people across Wigan
  • Ensure the service is delivered to a high standard following policy and procedure, paying particular attention to H&S, Child and Adult Safeguarding, and confidentiality practice
  • Work closely with Domestic Abuse Support Workers to maintain a multi-agency approach to safeguarding with TAF and Children’s Social Care
  • Ensure that any issues in relation to safeguarding children or vulnerable adults are brought to the immediate attention of the team lead and Designated Safeguarding Officer

Due to the nature of the service, we can only consider female applicants for this role. We also require a driver and someone with an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
