THE ROLE:
As the appointed Childcare Solicitor, you will be responsible for your own caseload of childcare matters including acting on behalf of Guardians and Local Authorities. The successful Childcare Solicitor will deal with Care Proceedings along with occasional parent instruction. This is a motivating environment where continuous development of skills and performance are encouraged by this Legal 500 and Chambers recommended practice. You will also be required to deal with case preparation and undertake your own advocacy before County and Family Proceedings Court. THE CANDIDATE:
The successful Childcare Solicitor will have a minimum of 4 years PQE and will join a team of knowledgeable individuals with a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of childcare law. Due to the continued increase of new instructions, the firm is looking for Childcare Solicitors who have proven technical expertise in dealing with care proceedings, preparing cases, and undertaking your own advocacy. You will have gained relevant experience within a local authority or a law firm and have a real desire to develop a successful career within this area of law. Excellent teamwork skills as well as the ability to provide a high standard of client care are essential for this role.
