37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead a dedicated team of staff providing exceptional childcare in a safe, secure, fun and stimulating environment at First Steps Childcare in our Brinsbury Nursery.

As a part of our amazing group of nurseries spread across West Sussex, First Steps Brinsbury is a truly enjoyable, welcoming and supportive place to work. The nursery benefits from being on Brinsbury College campus which is a fabulous rural campus, with a farm track, orchard, stream and more- so it’s not hard to see why the nursery can often boast a waiting list for childcare places!

As well as taking an active role with the children, you will lead the setting’s childcare team, modelling and guiding best practice to ensure that the best possible learning and play opportunities are offered to the children. Share your love for learning and make a real difference in children’s development and learning journeys.

You will also work alongside ‘behind the scenes’ staff, coordinating the smooth running of all nursery operations, supporting the Group Senior Leadership team and communicating with the marketing team and admissions team to help drive new childcare placements.

First Steps Childcare has nurseries in several locations and offers childcare options right from birth through to children ready to start school. The settings are open 51 weeks of the year, with core opening hours of 7.30am to 6.00pm, closed only for Bank Holidays and the period between Christmas and New Year.
