An established industry player is seeking a compassionate professional to join their team at the Sunrise Hub, focusing on supporting children and families affected by sexual harm. We are excited to advertise this brand new post supporting the Sunrise Hub - North East London Child Sexual Abuse Clinic. Based at the Royal London Hospital, the post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team including paediatricians, social workers and play specialists, to deliver care and support to children referred to or attending the clinic setting.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting children, young people and their families, before, during and following health assessments where there are concerns regarding possible sexual harm.
Working with the wider multi-disciplinary team, this will involve, on a case-by-case basis, helping to form a care plan that ensures that each child receives the right support at the right time. The post holder will also provide immediate support to children and parents/carers whilst the care package is being assembled including in some cases longer-term support within the health and/or criminal justice systems.
The post holder will assist in building capacity with partner services around their knowledge of The Sunrise hub in child sexual assault cases as well as identifying gaps in Local Services as outlined above. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that there are up to date information packs and resources available for children, parents/carers.
