Chief Technology Officer

CTO - Hybrid - Hertfordshire

Are you a skilled technology leader with a hands-on approach, looking to shape the future of a growing software company? This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a critical CTO role with a firm developing cutting-edge solutions for the events industry with an extensive, prestigious client base.

In this role, you’ll lead the company’s technology strategy, driving the development and rollout of their bespoke event management platform. You’ll manage a small but talented technical team, oversee a modern tech stack (React, Node.js, MySQL, AWS), and collaborate closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to align technical innovation with business growth.

What You’ll Do:

• Define and execute a robust technology roadmap to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
• Lead and mentor the development team, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
• Optimise the platform’s cloud infrastructure and drive best practices in software development and DevOps.
• Balance hands-on technical contributions with high-level strategy.

What We’re Looking For:

• Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Node.js) and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role, ideally in a small or medium-sized business. Note: While advantageous, the C-Suite job title badge isn't essential
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business priorities.
• A solutions-focused, hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments.
