Chief Quality Inspector

We are currently recruiting a talented Chief Quality Inspector for our client, a leading precision engineering company with a rich history of excellence for many decades. This role is based in their Leeds facility where they produce high-precision components for a variety of industries.

Key Requirements for a Chief Quality Inspector

1. Must have over 7 years hands-on working experience as a Quality Inspector.
2. Must have very strong knowledge of quality control standards and procedures.
3. Advanced CMM programming skills are required - over 5 years.
4. Any experience of Mitutoyo will be a distinct advantage.
5. Must be a competent user of measuring equipment, e.g. Verniers, Micrometers, CMMs, and vision systems.
6. Some experience of leadership will be required.
7. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to lead and motivate a team.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and software.
11. Relevant certifications in quality management or related fields are a plus.
12. Basic knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 & AS9100 requirements.

Duties:

1. Lead and manage a team of quality inspectors.
2. Develop and implement quality inspection procedures and standards.
3. Conduct regular inspections and audits of products and processes.
4. Identify and address quality issues and non-conformities.

Working Hours: 7.30 - 4.30 Monday to Thursday and 7.30 - 2pm on Friday.
