We are currently recruiting a talented Chief Quality Inspector for our client, a leading precision engineering company with a rich history of excellence for many decades. This role is based in their Leeds facility where they produce high-precision components for a variety of industries.

Key Requirements for a Chief Quality Inspector:

• Must have over 7 years hands-on working experience as a Quality Inspector.
• Must have very strong knowledge of quality control standards and procedures.
• Advanced CMM programming skills are required - over 5 years.
• Any experience of Mitutoyo will be a distinct advantage.
• Must be a competent user of measuring equipment, e.g. Verniers, Micrometers, CMMs, and vision systems.
• Some experience of leadership will be required.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and software.
• Relevant certifications in quality management or related fields are a plus.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 & AS9100 requirements.

Duties:

• Lead and manage a team of quality inspectors.
• Develop and implement quality inspection procedures and standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of products and processes.
• Identify and address quality issues and non-conformities.

Working Hours: 7.30 - 4.30 Monday to Thursday and 7.30 - 2pm on Friday.
