About the Role

As Product Owner at Plyaz, you'll drive the development and evolution of our onchain sports engagement platform, acting as the critical bridge between engineering, design, and business teams. You’ll own the product lifecycle, define roadmap priorities, shape token-powered fan engagement features, and ensure delivery is fast, efficient, and user-first.

We’re looking for someone proactive, detail-obsessed, and deeply aligned with the future of decentralized digital products. You’ll eventually step into the Chief Product Officer role as we scale.

What You'll Do

• Translate company vision and user needs into a well-defined product roadmap.
• Lead agile ceremonies: sprint planning, retrospectives, daily standups, and estimation sessions.
• Prioritize feature backlog with input from design, tech, marketing, and external stakeholders.
• Own the product delivery lifecycle using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Figma (for flow reviews).
• Create clear and concise PRDs, user stories, edge-case handling, and acceptance criteria.
• Sync with designers and engineers to ensure product features are beautifully built and shipped on time.
• Gather and synthesize product feedback from users, internal teams, and partners.
• Regularly demo features, analyze product metrics, and iterate quickly based on user feedback.
• Understand scalability, latency, and infrastructure considerations in Web3.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years experience in product ownership or product management in tech startups or software companies.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodology (Scrum preferred).
• Proven experience managing engineering teams with sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
• Strong in writing product documentation: PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with Figma for understanding design systems, wireframes, and UX flows.
• Great communicator – verbal and written – capable of aligning tech/design/business.
• Analytical – experience interpreting product analytics and making data-driven decisions.
• Comfortable with technical discussions – understands APIs, endpoints, workflows, and can talk with developers meaningfully (without needing to code).
• Experience with tokenized economies, NFTs, DAOs, or other Web3 product experiences.
• Experience working with global remote teams across time zones.
• Background as a founder, or experience building from 0→1.
• Knowledge of blockchain development life cycles (e.g., smart contract updates, audit processes).
• Experience working with crypto wallets, decentralized identities, or on-chain governance.
• Previous work on sports-tech, fan engagement, or creator economy platforms.
• Experience with gamified product mechanics or rewards-based engagement flows.
• Familiarity with analytics tools like Mixpanel, Amplitude, or PostHog.
• Comfort in defining KPIs for new product features and success metrics.

Success in 3–6 Months

• You’ve launched multiple product features, fully documented, and delivered on time.
• You’ve built a solid relationship with the design and engineering team.
• You’ve refined the roadmap, defined OKRs, and identified key product growth levers.
• You’re proactively bringing new Web3 product ideas to life and helping make Plyaz category-defining.
