As they expand their operations and scale their business, we are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and enhance the operational strategy. Position Overview:
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be the driving force behind ensuring that our operational strategy aligns with the company's goals. You will be responsible for analysing, improving, and scaling processes across multiple functions, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, and Logistics. You will lead and develop these teams, ensuring efficiency and a seamless flow of operations that supports growth while elevating customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will provide financial oversight to ensure that operational costs are kept in line with the company's ambitious growth targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Strategy: Develop and implement operational strategies that support business goals, including scaling the organization and improving efficiency at every stage of the customer journey.
  2. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and grow teams across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service/Sales, and Logistics, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and operational goals.
  3. Process Improvement: Analyze existing processes across departments and drive improvements to enhance productivity, streamline operations, and improve overall quality.
  4. Financial Oversight: Provide financial oversight on operational costs and budgets, working closely with the finance team to ensure sustainable, scalable operations.
  5. Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by improving customer service protocols, optimizing logistics, and ensuring quality assurance.
  6. Scalability: Work hand-in-hand with leadership to scale operations effectively, from managing day-to-day operations to long-term strategic planning.
  7. Reporting & Analysis: Regularly report to the CEO and other key stakeholders on operational performance, identifying potential risks and opportunities for growth.

What We're Looking For:
  1. Experience: 5-10 years of proven operations management experience within an executive leadership role, ideally within the fashion, retail, or consumer goods industries. Experience with small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or start-ups through a successful growth phase is highly preferred.
  2. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated success in leading and developing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of fashion, retail operations, logistics, supply chain, customer service, and sales.
  4. Growth Mindset: A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and experience in scaling operations successfully.
  5. Process Improvement: A strong track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and boost customer satisfaction.
  6. Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial oversight, budgeting, and cost management in an operational context.
  7. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, start-up environment, remaining flexible as the company continues to evolve.
