Kidney Research UK is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to funding research into the prevention, treatment, and management of kidney disease. For over 60 years, we have been driving groundbreaking research to change lives. However, with kidney disease on the rise—linked to increasing rates of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity—our work has never been more vital.
As we embark on our next phase of development, we are looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO)—a strategic and ambitious leader to help us drive real and positive change.
At Kidney Research UK, we work with clinicians and scientists across the UK, funding and facilitating research into all areas of kidney disease. We collaborate with partners across the public, private, and third sectors to prevent kidney disease and drive innovation to transform treatments.
We are now looking for an experienced COO who is commercially astute and purpose-driven, with a strong financial background and the ability to lead and contribute to strategic planning. This role presents a unique opportunity to drive our strategic growth and impact.
Our passionate community of staff, volunteers, researchers, ambassadors, and patients work together to turn groundbreaking research into life-changing treatments. As Chief Operating Officer, you will be at the heart of this, ensuring Kidney Research UK runs at peak efficiency and capitalises on opportunities to innovate—so we can do even more to change lives.
Working with colleagues, you will play an influential role in a range of key strategic projects, including the scale-up of NURTuRE, our biobank, managing the financial aspects of our growing portfolio of social investments, and the creation of our data and AI strategy.
We are open to candidates from a range of sectors. Wherever you are now, you will be a bold, forward-thinking leader who shares our passion for change. If you are eager to drive real impact and be part of something truly transformative, we’d love to hear from you.
