Chief Operating Officer – Captives
We’re hiring! Aon are currently recruiting a Chief Operating Officer – Captives to join our team in the UK. The Chief Operating Officer – Captives will be primarily responsible for:
- Collaborating with ACIM leadership and evaluating industry trends to define multi-year strategies comprised of near- and long-term growth, efficiency, and risk priorities.
- Advocating for and aligning ACIM priorities across relevant Aon functions including Global Operations, IT, Finance, and Regions.
- Evaluating and redesigning operating models, technology strategy, and governance to meet the needs of ACIM and clients.
- Supporting the ACIM Leadership Team in strategic and annual business planning, quarterly and monthly business reviews, and investment prioritization.
- Program management and oversight of critical initiatives and projects, and personal leadership of a select few.
- Proactively recommending and driving continuous operational business improvement including margin expansion and growth.
- Liaising across Aon to bring standard methodologies to bear for ACIM and to build a culture of constant operational improvement.
- Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

About You
Your knowledge and expertise:
- Proven experience in the development and execution of global critical initiatives focused on delivering growth.
- Extensive project management experience across global businesses.
- Experience in developing and completing long-term strategic plans and driving growth.
- Experience collaborating with HR, Finance, Legal, IT and able to flexibly manage and leverage resources in a complex global matrix structure.
- Experience driving consensus among cross-functional, global teams.
- Validated problem-solving ability using data and visuals to support a hypothesis.
- Technical knowledge of captives, insurance management, and key client deliverables preferred.
- Strong verbal and written skills, presentation skills, and ability to quickly build trust with senior leaders.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to balance strategic needs with delivering operational objectives.
