An opportunity has arisen for a support role to the CTPHQ Chief of Staff Superintendent. This role offers a unique and wide-ranging array of work-related activities, linking with the National Counter Terrorism network that covers England, Scotland, and Wales together with partner agencies and international partners. The Chief of Staff also holds responsibilities for HQ related coordination and oversight tasks covering the five MPS Specialist Operations OCUs being SO15, Parliamentary and Diplomatic protection (PaDP), Royalty and Specialist protection (RaSP), Protective Security Operations (PSO), and Aviation Policing (AP). The support role is focused on supporting the overall problem-solving and improvement regimes that fall to the Chief of Staff and is particularly suited for those looking to widen their strategic perspective and understanding.
The role is offered for one full-time or two officers/Band Es, each working a fixed 3 or 4 day per week part-time fixed roster. The two posts will operate together as a job share, thus increasing the opportunities available whilst also providing increased resilience.
