Job Description:

A major, high performing hedge fund is looking to hire its first Chief of Staff to their CEO.

As Chief of Staff, the hire will be the trusted advisor and right-hand to an industry-recognized CEO, accountable for executing business strategy and priorities across the fund. He/she will regularly represent the CEO in both internal and external meetings, implement key strategic projects and initiatives, lead new business launches, be a focal part of investment committee meetings, and identify risks within the business while implementing changes to reduce exposure. This is one of the most visible and highly autonomous roles within the firm.

For what is a senior level role in the business, candidates should ideally be working for, or have previously worked for, a leading management consulting firm. He/she will also have a background in markets, specifically a strong grasp of derivatives trading. We could consider alternative profiles if candidates are incredibly smart and have established front office focused experience working for a hedge fund or top-tier investment bank. More generally, candidates must have top-tier academic profiles and ideally additional qualifications, such as an MBA.
