Aon's recruitment and selection policy ensures the best possible skill mix of colleagues and the highest quality candidates are appointed using objective job-related criteria.About the RoleYour impact as a Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy, Planning & Implementation:Leading a team of colleagues responsible for Governance and Implementation of key initiatives across the UK;Engaging and aligning with Global ABS Chief of Staff to ensure communication is optimised globally and across the UK ABS community;Convening, leading or supporting the agenda for the UK Business Services Leadership team;Working with Internal Communications to build the communication plan and corresponding materials to drive the strategic vision and priorities for Business Services, including coordination of live broadcasts, town halls and office visits across stakeholders within regions, solutions lines and functions;Leading campaigns to drive engagement, inclusion, innovation and connection across different areas. In partnership with the People Organization, developing strategies to shape and deliver Business Services talent agenda. Providing support for the UK COO on our I&D initiatives to drive impact, partnering with the Business Services Leadership Team and People Organization to ensure robust plans to drive progress, and means to measure progress and impact on I&D;Serving as a sounding board for the UK Chief Operating Officer, providing objective perspective to issues that extend across the Region;Partnering with the UK Leadership Team members individually to strengthen performance and drive impact;Leading research and special projects and assist in the implementation on programs that have a significant impact on the Region;Continuously building knowledge about a variety of company issues and a deep understanding of Aon and its capabilities;Acting as a change agent and promote the evolution of the Business Services vision and strategy;Being a participating member of project or research teams, including building plans with key Business Leaders aligned with operating model transformation, capability development, platform expansion, digitization;Tracking and monitoring strategic activities to ensure goals and benchmarks are achieved. Facilitating the reporting and measurement ensuring a timely flow of key performance data and information for stakeholders across the enterprise;Dealing with issues and subject matter that require the highest levels of sensitivity, discretion and judgement;Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.About youYour knowledge and expertise:Proven experience in a combination of finance, operations and program management roles working in a matrixed, global organization;Experience managing and driving sophisticated projects to completion;Hands-on experience leading and delivering end-to-end global projects;Ability to lead by influence and drive consensus among senior executives as well as lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals;Demonstrated ability to adapt to new environments and lead and inspire change;Ability to lead by influence and drive consensus among senior executives as well as lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals;Strong work ethic, tenacious, solutions-focused problem solver;Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal, ability to communicate complex ideas simplistically;Candour to give honest assessments and valuable advice and counsel as well as maintain confidentiality;Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred;Operations experience not critical if the candidate is strong on required skills and has a strong learning aptitude.Salary and BenefitsThis role offers a competitive salary and bonus, plus a comprehensive benefits package and 25 days holiday.
