Chief of Staff Job Description
Marcilly Recruitment is seeking an extremely high-calibre Chief of Staff for a global family office with business interests spanning tech, luxury, hospitality, manufacturing, automobiles, and conservation to name a few. The successful Chief of Staff will be responsible for overseeing all of their business and private affairs globally. This will involve extensive international travel across three continents.
This is a dynamic, varied, and demanding senior role that will act as a real right-hand to the principals running a global conglomerate. Therefore, the Chief of Staff must have a minimum of 12 years' professional experience, with a minimum of three years at the Chief of Staff level managing a global team. Additionally, candidates who have military training (they do really like the idea of an equerry) or those who have worked in a royal household would be preferred.
Salary: £80K - £150K - could be flexibility for the right candidate
Hours: 09:00 – 18:00 – flexibility required and hours will vary with peaks and troughs
Benefits: medical insurance; pension; 25 days holiday + bank holidays; discretionary bonus (benefits can be negotiated as a senior position)
Start date: happy to wait a 3 month notice period
Location: London + international travel for at least four months of the year
You will be based abroad for the first quarter of the year.
EA / Chief of Staff Responsibilities
This is a newly created Chief of Staff role which the successful candidate will be able to grow and make their own as they prove their capabilities.
The client needs someone who will be able to manage very high-level relationships on the principal's behalf. They are seeking someone who is polished, bright, articulate, professional, and engaging. The successful Chief of Staff must have very strong communication skills with an excellent grasp of the English language – perfect spelling and grammar. Ideally, a Russell Group graduate.
The UHNW principals are very personable, bright, driven, and ambitious principals who seek an extremely dedicated and career-focused Chief of Staff. There will be the need for flexibility out of hours and extensive international travel, sometimes at the drop of a hat and for extended periods. They are respectful of your time and will not contact you unnecessarily, but they don't want to feel as though they are bothering you if they do need to contact you out of hours when not travelling.
