We're Hiring! Are you ready for a new challenge? Aon is currently recruiting a Chief Innovation Officer to oversee the enhancement of F&PS's innovative capabilities. This is a Hybrid role which will involve part office/home based working.

What the day will look like:

  1. Identifying innovation trends and business opportunities within the market.
  2. Scale innovation in three key areas:
    1. Core - Single-solution line offerings that deliver differentiated value.
    2. Core - Integrated value propositions and solutions that combine core capabilities in new ways across solution lines to address unmet client needs.
    3. Net New - Growth-stage innovations that create new markets and expand access for the underserved.
  3. Solution line collaboration by challenging the status quo and driving innovation to help clients make better decisions by aligning on topics that maximise client relevance and accelerate growth for Aon.
  4. Meeting and engaging with internal and external stakeholders at different levels to identify areas of innovation and growth.
  5. Creating and supervising a comprehensive long-term innovation strategy.
  6. Advising F&PS leadership on yearly, medium-term, long-term, and future innovation goals.
  7. Communicating new insights and approaches to high-level stakeholders.
  8. Develop relationships with the global and UK innovation groups to enhance and complement identified growth accelerators and report on innovative developments within the company.
  9. Understand the DAU (Delivering Aon United) agenda, support it actively in driving innovation to meet client needs in specialty lines of business.
  10. Support Commercial UK Core and Net New innovation initiatives.
  11. Bring to life the Aon Story through innovation.
  12. Ensure all FCA regulations and internal compliance requirements are adhered to in a timely manner.
  13. Promote all compliance-related requirements throughout the area and identify opportunities for improvement.
  14. Ensure all agreed practices and tools are actively and consistently applied.
  15. Lead by example by ensuring own activity aligns with regulatory requirements and business procedures.

An outstanding CIO will have a track record of successful high-level interventions and projects which have resulted in long-term competitiveness within their organisations.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  1. Professional with significant experience as an insurance lawyer, specialising in financial and professional lines insurance.
  2. Adaptive thinking and a strong, critical approach.
  3. Strong intuition for business and presentation skills.
  4. Highly proficient at project planning, budgeting, and oversight.
  5. Forward-thinking and adaptable to dynamic situations.
  6. A proven understanding of innovation and how it should be applied in business.
  7. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
