The Kalgoorlie Boulder Racing Club (KBRC) is a distinguished racing club with a rich history, nestled in tradition yet forward-thinking in approach. The KBRC conducts 21 thoroughbred horse race meetings each year at its Kalgoorlie racecourse. Racing in the Goldfields is a thrilling and unique experience like no other. Role of Chief Executive Officer

Reporting to the Board, leading an experienced and capable team, this challenging and complex leadership role encompasses all the following aspects:

• Major Racing and training operations at Kalgoorlie Boulder Racing Club.
• Large functions and events business.
• Responsible for governance, legal, financial, commercial and strategy.

This position is responsible for the development and achievement of the Club’s strategic plan. With a key focus on building on an already strong operation, you will possess the skills, experience and attributes to further grow the horse racing, training and hospitality footprint and the business success of the KBRC. You will have a proven track record of strong leadership, effectively managing multiple stakeholders and delivering exceptional member and customer service. You will also demonstrate achievements in community brand development and high-performance workplace culture.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Proven leadership experience in a similar role.
• Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Financial acumen with a track record of successful budget management.
• Experience within the horse racing industry or a passion for horse racing and a deep understanding of the industry.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders including Local Trainers, KBRC members, KBRC Board, RWWA, sponsors and local community.
• Ability to manage a large predominantly casual workforce.
