Safer Farms is a leading member-based organisation dedicated to improving health, safety, and wellbeing across New Zealand’s agricultural sector. Since 2015, we’ve partnered with government, industry leaders, and farmers to reduce harm and build a safer future for farming communities. We are embarking on an exciting five-year partnership with ACC to implement the Farm Without Harm strategy, aimed at halving farming fatalities and injuries by 2029.
As we continue to drive sector-wide change, we are looking for a visionary and results-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organisation through this critical phase of growth.
About the Role
The CEO will provide strategic leadership and operational expertise, ensuring the successful execution of Safer Farms’ initiatives. As the face of the organisation, you will collaborate with key stakeholders, including ACC, WorkSafe, government bodies, and farming communities, to build a culture of safety across the sector.
You will also spearhead the growth of our membership base, demonstrating value to members and making Safer Farms the primary platform for farmers and organisations serious about making sector-wide safety changes.
