The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is recruiting a chief digital information officer, to be based at any CPS office in England and Wales.

Here at the Crown Prosecution Service, we prosecute criminal cases that have been investigated by the police and other investigative organisations. Our digital information directorate ensures that the infrastructure and systems we rely on to function are maintained to support a successful working environment. We are the driving force for digital transformation throughout the organisation, ensuring that we are well positioned to harness new technologies – resulting in the best possible service for our users.

About your role

As chief digital information officer, you're responsible for designing an appropriate and forward-thinking operating model to meet our future strategic ambitions. You define and establish a clear performance management process, driving performance and culture and reporting on this to the Executive Group and Board.

You provide strategic leadership and decision making, developing strategies and business plans to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of the CPS and the wider criminal justice system. As a member of the Executive Group, you play an active part in helping to shape our vision and objectives for the future.

We're looking for someone with experience of delivering high-performance digital services within a complex project management environment. You champion digital innovation and creativity, developing solutions that align with our long-term business strategy. You thrive in a customer-focused environment and foster a culture that supports this – establishing clear processes so that your team can work effectively with criminal justice partners and the wider organisation.
