Overview

As our new Wind Turbine Chief Consultant, you will be part of our global Offshore Wind Advisory team. You will engage with various stakeholders supporting project development across all stages, from early conceptual design until project execution and package management. You will support in shaping and enhancing our service deliverables. You will also play a pivotal role in the support of the development, design, installation, and commissioning of wind turbine electrical systems for wind energy projects. Leveraging your expertise in electrical engineering and renewable energy, you will contribute to the development and optimization of wind farm projects and wind turbine systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of clean energy technology and drive sustainable solutions in the global energy sector. Our assignments are of a diverse nature, with both well-known and new market players, joint ventures, and investment funds, as well as cover a broad scope of services and in potential combination with other technologies, such as Power-to-X.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Support and lead relevant working packages for the wind turbine scopes, ensuring adherence to project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Provide expert guidance and strategic advice in all areas within the wind turbine scope, especially wind turbine supply chain, manufacturing and logistics.
  • Deliver on technical due diligence assignments in support of large and complex finance transitions.
  • Project roles in the wind turbine package within our Owner's Engineer service deliveries.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality of systems during project execution.
  • Support and lead the technical preparation, coordination, and management of the wind turbine scope tendering processes.
  • Support standardisation processes and initiatives across the Offshore Wind Advisory Team.
  • Provide training and mentorship to project team members, subcontractors, and field personnel.

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial engineering, Logistics, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in wind projects.
  • Extensive experience in offshore wind project development, execution, and operation.
  • Profound industry knowledge and an understanding of design and engineering, project economics, interfaces, risks, and commercial aspects of offshore wind farm development.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines.
  • Experience in negotiating complex construction contracts would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation associated to offshore construction projects.
  • Strong writing and communication skills in English; additional languages are beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and make independent decisions.
  • Track record of presenting technical options to clients.
