Location: Project/Site based, Somerset - 4 days per week site AND Remote working x 1 day per week

Status: Contract INSIDE IR35

Duration: 31dec25 (renewable)

Reports to: Site Environmental Engineering Lead

Morson Talent are working on behalf of a major player within the Energy Sector who have a current requirement for a Chemical Safety & COSHH Advisor to join an established site-based team in Somerset. This is a uniquely interesting opportunity to contribute towards one of Europe's largest infrastructure Projects.

Overview

The Chemical Safety & CoSHH Advisor will use their expertise to support excellence in the management of chemical hazards on a complex and busy construction site. You will help identify where a proposed chemical may impact the environment, occupational health, safety or fire risks. You will work with subject matter experts in these areas to support risk assessments, mitigation design and approvals to ensure that effective controls are in place. As the project progresses, it is anticipated that the Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Regulations will apply and you will play a vital role in supporting compliance.

You will also support contract partners in developing their chemical risk assessment capabilities, thus supporting the project's ambition to improve safety performance across the construction industry.
