Chemical Regulatory Specialist - Part-Time

Job Type: Part-time (24 hours per week, flexible working days)

Salary: Around £40,000 pro-rata

Location: Alfreton

We are a family-run manufacturing business producing a range of commercial and household cleaning products and specialist coatings based in Derbyshire. We are looking for a chemist with a technical regulatory background, including knowledge and experience in the following areas:

1. Safety Data Sheet (SDS) authoring to GB and EU regulations.
2. Detergent labelling & transport information authoring.
3. SDS management - for internal & suppliers.
4. Management of MySDS portal.
5. REACH compliance management.
6. Label checks for compliance.
7. PFAS / SVHC compliance.
8. Monitoring of new chemical regulations and changes to existing standards.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Relevant technical/regulatory background, knowledge as listed above.
2. Suitable chemical industry/manufacturing experience.
3. Excellent verbal and written English.
4. High level communication skills.
5. Comfortable with a variety of IT/software packages.

This job is not suitable for a recent graduate. We are looking for someone who is perhaps nearer to the end of their career or has other responsibilities and is therefore comfortable with part-time hours.
