The Opportunity

CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer to join our Power Plant team on a permanent 8/6 roster, FIFO ex Perth.

Reporting to the Superintendent- Mechanical (Gas Turbine), this role provides engineering advice, expertise, and guidelines for commissioning, operation, and maintenance in accordance with Australian Standards and statutory requirements.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

1. Reviewing equipment operation parameters and monitoring inspection data.
2. Providing technical guidance and support to OMT team for the use, calibration, and maintenance of chemical instruments.
3. Taking part in acceptance inspection and testing.
4. Scheduling equipment maintenance and overhaul.
5. Developing process optimization and performance improvement for the position scope.

Successful applicants will have:

1. A current Driver's Licence is essential.
2. Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
3. Skill in chemical analysis, chemical instruments use/calibration, and lab equipment operation.
4. Relevant knowledge of equipment and instruments in power plant chemical discipline.
