Job description

CK Group are recruiting for a Chemical Engineer, to join a chemical manufacturing company, based in Derbyshire. This position will provide engineering leadership in process safety aspects for the site. This is a permanent role.

The Company:
Our client is a leading manufacturer of advanced chemicals, supplying to many companies worldwide.

Your main duties will be:

  1. Develop and implement process safety management systems.
  2. Lead and manage process safety aspects of a chemical process site.
  3. Provide expert guidance on current legal requirements for hazardous chemicals handling.
  4. Provide process safety related technical design competence and guidance.
  5. Conduct risk assessments, safety studies and hazard analyses.
  6. Manage the review and update of the site COMAH report.

Your Background:
  1. Degree level qualification in a science or engineering subject such as bachelors degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, etc.
  2. Process safety qualification such as NEBOSH certificate.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of working experience in high hazard manufacturing industry or COMAH facility.
  4. At least 3 years of work experience in specific Process Safety Engineering job roles.
