Job Introduction

As a Cook Supervisor at Sodexo, you are also a creative problem-solver and an exceptional leader. Your contributions are vital in ensuring that our service is in line with the menu service offer and relevant style guide, and that all regulations and policies relating to allergens, food hygiene, health, safety, and fire are enforced, recorded, and maintained at all times.

Your ability to mobilise individual schools in line with our brand proposition, maintain strict budgetary control, and nurture talent within your team will drive sales and enhance customer experience, meeting both client and commercial expectations.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the preparation and presentation of all meals service to the required standard and satisfaction of the client, customer and Sodexo.
  2. Carry out a daily service audit and maintain the standards and integrity of the service offer.
  3. Recruit, interview, control and discipline staff as necessary.
  4. Ensure all new staff are given a thorough induction into their job and actively identify and nurture talent within the team.
  5. Have special regard to the welfare of the establishment staff, and organize regular and effective staff meetings.
  6. Ensure correct compilation of the payroll and adherence to all Statutory Regulations and Company Policy concerning the staff.
  7. Attend to any reasonable requests made by the Account Manager.

The Ideal Candidate

  1. 706/2 or NVQ2 chef qualification, or equivalent.
  2. Previous catering experience and passion for food and team engagement.
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff at all levels.
  4. Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
  5. Good time management and organizational skills.
  6. Ability to work well under pressure.
  7. Self-motivated, sense of own initiative and ability to meet target deadlines.
