Job Introduction

Title - Chef Manager

Location - Shell St Fergus Gas Plant

Salary - Up to £36,000

As a Chef Manager at Sodexo in [Shell St Fergus Gas Plant], you are a motivated leader and a champion of culinary innovation. You will manage a catering team to deliver high-quality meals while maintaining compliance and ensuring all documentation meets regulations. Your leadership will inspire a team and contribute to crafting memorable dining experiences.

What you'll do:

  1. Plan and cost menus aligned with the contract, ensuring compliance with fixed food costs.
  2. Manage menu planning, stock control, and orders through Sodexo-approved vendors.
  3. Assist with daily food preparation and innovate on healthy eating and sustainable dining options.
  4. Oversee adherence to Health and Safety standards, HACCP regulations, and company policies.
  5. Supervise a catering team, ensuring staff motivation and coverage while approving leave requests.
  6. Monitor and record equipment temperatures in compliance with Food Safety Act standards.
  7. Support ad hoc and external events, delivering exceptional catering experiences.

What you bring:

  1. Proven experience in food service and passion for customer satisfaction.
  2. Certifications in 706/1 & 706/2 or equivalent, RIPHH, and IOSH.
  3. Knowledge of Cook Chill Catering, HACCP, and Level 2 Food Safety standards.
  4. Strong communication skills, with professionalism and respect for others.
  5. A commitment to high standards in appearance, hygiene, and workplace conduct.
