Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Salary: £28,163 - £30,060 pro rata, per annum

Hours: 27.5 hours per week

Closing date: 2nd February 2025

Facility Services and Civic Management work across the city and Gateshead providing building cleaning, caretaking, school meals, and welfare catering services.

The Role

An opportunity exists for a suitable individual to work within the Facility Operations as a Chef at the Academy. They are currently looking for a reliable and friendly person with a positive attitude to join the team.

Minimum Requirements

1. Hold a minimum NVQ level 2 in Food Processing and Cooking or equivalent.
2. Have a minimum of 3 years' experience of working within a busy catering environment.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Experience in supervision or leadership of a team.
2. Ability to manage and motivate others.
3. Deliver high standards of meal production and service.
4. Demonstrate good relationships with stakeholders.
5. Self-motivated and able to work to fixed deadlines.
6. Demonstrate high standards of customer service.
7. Develop and introduce new ideas for menus and foodservice.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, positive, innovative, and solution-focused.
9. Experience of working in a catering environment.
