An established industry player is seeking passionate Chef de Parties for a summer role at a beautiful coastal location. Chef de Partie Summer fixed-term.
Location: THE PIG at Harlyn Bay, Padstow, Cornwall.
Contract Type: Fixed-term, summer contracts.
Available Start Dates: 7th May, or 2nd July 2025. Please indicate your preferred start date by completing our application form.
Contract End dates: September October 2025
Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week) & Part-Time Fixed-Term contracts. Evening and weekend shifts will be required.
Staff Accommodation: Staff accommodation is limited. Ideally, we are seeking applicants who reside locally and can commute to/from the hotel during their contract. Please indicate your accommodation status upon application.
THE PIG at Harlyn Bay is seeking Chef de Parties to join their brigade for the summer. Really restaurants with rooms, THE PIG offers simple modern British food, influenced by the seasons and coast, with the emphasis on fresh, clean flavours. We use local suppliers within a 25-mile radius, our own homegrown kitchen garden produce, and a lot of love to create our menus, which change all the time. Our Chefs are passionate and driven to provide our guests with an unforgettable dining experience; creativity is what we do best. Our kitchens are fast-paced and energetic, which is what we look for in an individual. Come with enthusiasm, your knives, and a bucketful of passion, and we can help you develop the rest. As Chef de Partie, you will oversee one of the 4 sections of the kitchen. You will have the opportunity to experience each section to gain knowledge of the entire service. Whilst not on duty, you can soak up the summer festivities in Cornwall, enjoy a morning surf, or an evening sunset on one of Cornwall's glorious beaches!
Upon successful completion of your contract, you will have the flexibility to leave our team or, subject to availability, we can discuss a future with THE PIG Hotels, on a permanent basis or for future peak seasons.

Your first 4 days will consist of training, providing you with all the knowledge and basic skills to feel comfortable within our kitchen. As part of our selection process, shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a 3-4 hour recruitment session. Our first set of sessions will take place at THE PIG at Harlyn Bay on 2nd & 3rd April 2025. We would love all applicants to make their best effort to attend one of our sessions; however, our recruitment team will discuss alternative options with you if you are unable to attend a recruitment session, so please don’t let this be a barrier to applying.
