Responsibilities:

1. Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your assigned section, following company recipes and specifications.
2. Stay calm under pressure and show problem-solving skills during busy service times.
3. Be fully knowledgeable about the restaurant’s menu, including dish ingredients, sourcing, and cooking methods.
4. Follow all company health & safety, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
5. Ensure that all HACCP procedures are adhered to, keeping accurate records as required and reporting any food safety or hygiene issues to the senior kitchen staff immediately.
6. Monitor and manage stock levels within your section, ensuring proper rotation and reporting any shortages to management and minimizing waste (record accordingly).
7. Safely store invoices and other documentation, passing them on to the management team as needed.
8. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in your section, ensuring all surfaces, equipment, and storage areas are clean and organized.
9. Regularly participate in the deep cleaning of kitchen sections and equipment, ensuring that proper records are kept.
10. Follow the FIFO (First In, First Out) system to minimize waste and ensure fresh ingredients are always used.
11. Build strong relationships with both the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams to ensure smooth service.
12. Foster a positive and professional environment within the kitchen, contributing to teamwork and a family-like atmosphere, supporting your colleagues whenever needed.
13. Support and assist in the training of Commis Chefs, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
14. Lead by example in ensuring all kitchen staff maintain high standards of professionalism and cleanliness.
15. Be proactive in supporting the management team and Senior CDPs with daily operations, covering shifts when necessary and ensuring readiness for service.
16. Ensure that all company checklists are completed diligently and in a timely manner, especially in preparation for and after service.
