We are looking for an energetic and friendly individual who has a passion for food and first class produce to join our team in the New Year.
You will be a leading member of our kitchen team whose duties will include the preparation, cooking, and presentation of foods prepared to order in our fast-paced kitchen environment.
You will be required to design and prepare new dishes for our specials boards, monitor stock levels while working to avoid waste, assist in the daily ordering, and ensure that all levels of food safety are adhered to, and that legislation and paperwork are followed and completed. The cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment are also very important, and a thorough clean down after every shift is required.
Proven experience cooking in kitchens for a minimum of 3 years and the ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure.
Minimum level 2 food hygiene is compulsory.
The candidate must be committed, able to work within a team, but also use their own initiative, have effective communication skills, and a sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
The role involves working from 8am until approximately 2.30pm Wednesday - Saturday and 8am until 1pm (approximately) on Sundays. (Weekends are compulsory). Mondays and Tuesdays are days off every week.
Approx 31 hours per week.
The business closes for the Christmas and New Year holiday when a week's holiday entitlement must be used (subject to entitlement).
